Im way busy today, so Im just putting some stuff about Joseph Smith.
"...no man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom without the consent of Joseph Smith. Every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, Junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are...I cannot go there without his consent. He reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling, as God does in heaven." Brigham Young Journal of Discourses, Vol. 7, p. 289
And heres one of my favrite hyms. Its all about the prophet Joseph and we sing it a lot at meeting on sundays. Its called "Praise to the Man" -

When Joseph got martered the folk in the church back then were mad so Brigham Young made the folk promise to keep praying for god to get the guys who did it. Pratt thinks some of the folk were thinking they needed to help god out some, and thats why the Arkansas folk got killed at Mountain Meadows near Cedar City. The guys at Cedar were thinking the Arkansas wagon train folk coming through Utah were bad and had a part in Joseph getting killed, (or maybe it was something about Parley P Pratt getting killed in Arkansas after his new cute polygamy wife ran off with her kids from her gentile husband?) Nobody really knows. (We're not doing that venjeance promise now.)Wish me luck for the pajeant tonight!

Honey Dawn, sounds like the pageant is going to be colorful and fun for everybody.
About the sayings of Brigham Young that you quoted. That part about needing permission from Joseph Smith to be with Christ in heaven, I'm a Presbyterian so that rule doesn't apply to us, we don't have Joseph Smith etc in our history, so we can be with Christ directly, as it tells us in the New Testament.
The people in our church of full of love for each other and for Christ just the same as in your church, isn't that great!

Anyways, while I think you have the righ to believe whatever you want and do the polygamy thank you are wrong about Joseph Smith.
JSmith, Brigham Young, and other are not prophets nor do they or any others hold "the keys".
Who holds "the keys", who is the holiest man on earth whom your salvation depens upon?
The answer is simple, it is THE POPE! Yes, Pope Benedict XVI is the key to heaven, he can heal sick people by his touch, whenever he holds masses, devout followes want to touch him since he is the godliest and holiest person on the planet. All other religions are false and their religious leaders including Mormon prophets, Protestant teleevangelicals, and Islamic mullahs are charlatans and practice a false religion.
If all fundie Mormons like your group and the FLDS swore off their prophets, converted to catholicism, recognized the Pope as the true man of God, and took down their pictures of Warren Jeffs, that Timpson dude who runs CP, and whatever pictures you and pratt have on your walls, and you replaced them with pictures of Pope Benedict XVI's smiling face then all of your problems would magically go away. Paintings of the virgin Mary, "our lady of Guadalupe", and bunches of little golden Jesus's and crosses would also help.
At least that is what devout catholics say.

Honey Dawn, I am not Duane!
He claims I am a "Mormon hater" but that is so not true. There are many Mormons living in my community, in fact there is a stake right down the street. My children and I all have Mormon friends ~ in fact you can read on the FLDS Texas blog that I have said the Mormons I know are the nicest people in the world, and that is true!
They aren't plyg like you are, and they live and work and go to school right along with everybody else, they aren't isolated off in some ranch like the FLDS ~ but, just like there are different kinds of Protestants I guess there are different kinds of Mormons.

Do you mean that Joseph Smith has to give his literal and personal opinion on where EVERY soul should go after death? That sounds like a heavy responsibility for one man, however special, and probably wouldn't leave him any time to enjoy the afterlife and all those wives who married him for eternity . Does StPeter assist him?

HoneyDawn, Anon E Mouse and Duane are not the same person. Also, given that Duane likes to make blanket statements about people he knows nothing about, you might want to ignore his comments about Catholicism. Fact is, the Catholics no longer think they are the "only" way to get to heaven and most of them haven't even noticed the FLDS situation. Duane is just trying to stir up hate again. I'm not sure why he insists on polluting your nice blog like that but some mean, nasty people just can't stand to see happy people such as yourself. I'm sorry about that.
Oh, and most of my family is Catholic so my statements actually are based on talking to real Catholics instead of just making up meanness like Duane.
Now Duane the Gentile is proselytizing for the Catholic religion, right here on your blog, Honey Dawn !!!
HoneyDawn: Your "bestest friend" duane is not a friend. He is just trying to start controversy which will drive the spirit away, I suggest that you ask Pratt to ban him by not allowings posts from the IPs that he uses.

Ale wife, thanks for the idea. Pratt might be knowing about IPs - Im not knowing that stuff. Pratt says its OK Duane saying stuff, as long as its not dirty (like some stuff he was writing to us - Pratt wasnt letting me see that!) The only thing is NOW Duanes pretending hes some of our friends, and thats not right to be using there names! Duane needs to be knowing if he keeps doing that we'll be stopping him saying any stuff at all! (PS we know hes not our bestest friend - thats plain silly!!!)
